  Calligram : Roots To  Success      Below you will find my calligram titled "Roots To Success". It includes a letter I wrote to myself in 20 years. This piece expresses the current state of life and wishes the best for my future self. I expressed that the things I am doing now are paving the way for success in the future. The brown leaves represent the "buds" I am fostering now. The green leaves represent the good things that will "blossom" because of my hard work. I also included my original letter, my original drawing, and the image I took inspiration from.      To create this calligram the main tool in Adobe Illustrator that I utilized was the "Pen Tool". This allowed me to create the tree drawing. After I created the tree drawing I used the "Type on a Path Tool". This allowed me to insert my text in the shape of the tree.  Adobe Illustrator HW 1      V ideo #1:   Pen Tutorial          This video goes over how to use the pen tool in Adobe Illustrator. I liked how the person recreated really unique shapes. I have used  Illustrator for about 3 years, so I have experience with using the pen tool but I still have some trouble with certain concepts. With work I did in the past, I have only used the pen tool for simple functions. Some of these include straight lines and circles which are easy for me. I have yet to really create complex shapes before. However, that is something that I would like to learn. I think that will be a useful skill I need to know. It will make things easier for me to know how to make a shape by myself rather than searching for a pre-made PNG on the internet. They may also use Wi-Fi to connect to these different services. After they are connected to the Wi-Fi, they may connect to their headphones using Bluetooth. Many of us are so used to these services but don't actually know what each of them is. All of the services have similarities but also have many differences.     The beginning of the internet is said to be January 1, 1983, but there we many things that were done before that to make it a reality.
